It’s taken me a while to get to the Lissabonbon Vintage Cafe, but I did last week and had a lovely big slice of cake and coffee! The cafe is very unique and special, decorated with vintage posters and furniture. I took my coffee and cake outside to enjoy in the sunshine and had a chat with cafe owner Lúcia Vicente. The Cafe was opened at the end of 2013 and sells a range of goodies from homemade cakes, baked by Lúcia herself, tinned goods from Portugal
and even vegan tapas! Lúcia also uses some vintage recipes:
– the original cupcakes recipe from 1828
– the original brownie recipe from 1876
– main courses from Auntie Rosie II WW recipe book
Also the home of my favorite, Lucky Cupcakes, which can be ordered online or in the cafe, and these would be wonderful to have as party extras at a wedding, birthday or christening.
Lúcia host’s special evenings like the popular, Social Diner – Lucky Cupcake diner for girls. Where the ladies enjoy a 3-course meal and sit back to watch the entertainment booked for that evening.
So if you’re in town, pop in to the vintage cafe and have a look for yourself!
