Burlesque Contest at Fish&Whips & the Miss Moss Shop
For the first time ever, the Kookaburra club in Berlin is hosting a 4 day Burlesque contest, celebrating the best of Burlesque in
Berlin! The show begins on the Wednesday 6th July and ends on Saturday 9th July for the grand final to see who wins the Burlesque competition! Also on the Saturday another showing of the Miss Moss Corsets Candy Collection with even more beautiful designs than before!!
The show is being presented by Jack Woodhead, who is a classical pianist and Cabaret virtuoso and has a fabulous jury including: Burlesque sensation Lady Lou, British Bombshell Beatrix von Bourbon and the talented Singer & illustrator LaLa Vox! The judges will be selecting a number of competitors from the 6th, 7th and 8th July to perform for the finals on Saturday 9th. The judges will then award the finalists with 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. There will be cash prizes of up to 500€ up for grabs and other spectacular goodies including vouchers from Miss Moss Corsets!
The show will include some of the lovely ladies I have had the pleasure to work with before including: Bettie Redcherry, Lily Tiger, Amber Vanilla and Marlene von Steenvag,
I will also be having my Miss Moss shop open every night of the contest, showcasing corset designs and other smaller pieces like my military soft caps made from a variety of cute, fun fabrics and colours!

Bohème Sauvage 50th official Party!
This Saturday see’s the 50th party of 1920′s style party, Bohème Sauvage in Berlin. The party began 5 years ago in organiser, Else Edelstahl’s, living room, hosting private parties for friends. Since then it has taken off with a life of its own! This weekend the Golden Jubilee party will be at Berlin’s stunning location of the Winter Garten. The night has a feast of performances, from live music to Burlesque acts in store.

The party has a strict dress code: 1920′s – 1940′s fashion, Bohemian, Burlesque, Cabaret, CanCan, Dandy, Decadent diva, Glamour, Glitter, Moulin Rouge etc. In the 1920′s, fashion was toned down a lot after the flamboyant fashions of the previous century! Think CoCo Chanel’s classic, “Little Black Dress” that can be dressed up or dress down for any occasion. The great thing about this dress was it was affordable, versatile and accessible. So if you have a little black dress of your own hanging up in your wardrobe you can jazz it up with accessories appropriate of the time! Classic accessories would be pearl necklaces, fancy broaches and a cigarette holder.
The night’s entertainment will be hosted by CoCo, who is returning after being away in England for some time. Live music will be from ’CHLOÉ ET LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES’ Its the bands debut performance and should not be missed! The music will be hot jazz and swing and performed by the following band members: FLORIAN VON FRIELING – Guitar , MALTE TÖNISSEN – Double Bass, JAN ZIMMERMANN – Drums, LUKAS FRÖHLICH – Trumpet and LARS DIETERICH – Saxophone.
Sensational burlesque performer LA VIOLA VIXEN, a Brisbane born Bombshell, will be bringing us titillating, provocative performances where old school burlesque meets classic showgirl!
There is also a casino where the games; Black Jack, Poker und Roulette can be played. When paying the entry fee, 50 million reichsmark is given, which can be used to gamble in the casino and when 100 million reichsmark or more is won, this can be traded for Absinth at the Absinth bar.
